Hey Adventurers!
If you’re reading this, it means you’re interested in coming along on a trip with us! That’s super cool :D
Right now we’re just putting feelers out there to see who (if anyone!) would be interested in a trip like this. So if you think you might be one of those interested folks, below are some of the details we had in mind:
Location
We debated between Tahoe, France, England and some other places, but we’re really leaning toward the Lake District in England. So if you fill out this form, that means that you’re on board with meeting there.
There are tons of cool locations around the Lake District that are really beautiful. We’re currently picking out our favorite and will have an exact location nailed down soon.
IMPORTANT: Who is this trip for?
This trip is for people who love travel and who are okay roughing it a bit. If your idea of travel includes fancy hotels and guided excursions, that’s all good, but it might mean you won’t really enjoy this trip very much.
This trip is also for positive people. Have you ever been having a blast doing something super fun only to have it ruined by one disgruntled person? If you’ve ever been that person (come on now, be honest!), then this trip might not be for you. Only positive vibes allowed!
As with any organized trip, things aren’t always going to go as planned. Schedules will change, weather will be an issue, things might take longer than we thought, etc. It’s all part of the fun and the adventure! But if that doesn’t sound like fun and adventure to you, then this probably isn’t a good trip for you.
We will also likely be incorporating activities around alcoholic beverages (if you’ve seen our videos, you know we enjoy a good pint!) so if you’re not a drinker or not okay being around drinking, that’s totally understandable! But this might not be a good trip for you.
This means you MUST BE 18 YEARS OLD OR OLDER to go on this trip!
What’s the point of this trip?
This trip is about having fun, meeting new people and, most importantly, having an adventure! This won’t be a glamorous vacation. We’ll be going on hikes, walks and doing other badass outdoor activities throughout the week. We will have the occasional indoor activity, but we want this trip to be focused on exploring nature and seeing beautiful sights!
We're aiming for a group of around 10 people, so we can all have a better connection and a more personal experience.
What’s the itinerary?
We haven’t finalized anything, but here’s what we had in mind so far:
- Scenic bike tour
- Boat ride on the lake
- Epic hikes and walks
- Cocktail lesson and / or brewery tour / tasting
- Group board game night!
The idea is that each day would be focused around 1, maybe 2 activities. You are free to join in on these activities or skip them. The rest of the day will be free to use as you wish. Personally, we’ll be sneaking in a bit of work during these off hours and just chilling and having a pint, maybe going for a walk.
How much will the trip cost?
Organized trips can be really expensive, but we want this to actually fit within your budget! Our goal isn’t to rake in a bunch of cash. We want to provide an unforgettable week of fun and adventure, without you having to save up for 6 months to afford it.
We did a lot of research and most week long trips like this are in the $2500 to $6000 range, but we want ours to be much more affordable. We believe that we can make this happen for $1500 per person. That’s tentative though! Once we really start sorting things out this price might have to change.
Here’s what will be included in the price:
- Accommodations - We're thinking of renting out a hostel so you may be bunking with other attendees, but their facilities are great and very scenic!
- Food - You’ll be provided with delicious food each day. We haven’t decided exactly what we’ll have, but we’ll definitely cater to any dietary restrictions you may have.
- Transportation - The Lake District is a really big area so we’ll likely be shuttling to various places for daily activities.
- Activities! - We plan to incorporate at least one awesome activity into each day.
The only main thing that isn’t included is transportation. It’ll be up to you to book any buses, trains or planes in order to get to and from where we'll be staying.
When are you planning this trip and how long will it be?
We haven’t decided on a date, but we don’t want it to be too cold, so we’re thinking either April or May of 2018.
We’re thinking the trip will start on a Friday and end on a Thursday, which gives us a solid 6 days to pack in a whole bunch of fun!
